Naslov predavanja: ON SEMI-SYMMETRIC CONNECTIONS

Apstrakt:  
Friedmann and Schouten [2] introduced the notion of a semi-symmetric lin-ear connection on a differentiable manifold. In [3], Hayden proposed the no-tion of a semi-symmetric metric connection on a Riemannian manifold. Later, Yano in [5] studied some properties of a Riemannian manifold endowed with a semi-symmetric metric connection. In [4] Nakao considered submanifolds of a Riemannian manifold with semi-symmetric connections. More recently, semi- symmetric non-metric connections were discussed by Agashe, in 1992 (see [1]). In this talk some results on both metric and non-metric semi-symmetric connections will be presented, as well as certain old and new techniques used in their proofs.
