Naslov predavanja: SPHERES: G-THEOREM AND BEYOND

Apstrakt: In this talk addressed to a wide audience we are going to discuss some of the key results and open problems concerning triangulated spheres. We shall see how this subject arising from polytope theory emerged into a new area of Mathematics, combinatorial commutative algebra, unifying in a natural way modern combinatorics, algebra and topology.
